Job Overview

As a Delivery Manager, you will join an international team that drives the digital transformation of the global container shipping industry. You will manage digital standards delivery projects collaborating with business analysts, standards owners (Product Owners), DCSA members, and other stakeholders. You will ensure timely delivery and handle project risks, issues, scope, dependencies, resources, and performance. You will bring strong project management skills, technical understanding, the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, and passion for the vision and mission of DCSA.

Key Responsibilities

Must have’s:

• Project Management: Independently managing multiple projects from start to finish.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Escalation Management: Act as the primary point of contact for issue escalation and resolution, ensuring timely interventions.
• Scope & Dependency Management: Oversee project scope and manage dependencies to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Planning & Delivery/Reporting Tooling: Adapt and blend Scrum and Waterfall methodologies based on project needs, ensuring flexibility and efficiency. Utilize appropriate tools to plan, monitor, and report on project progress (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, planning tools)
• Change Management/Process Management: Implement and manage change processes to ensure smooth project transitions.
• Performance/KPI Management: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
• Resource Orchestration: Coordinate and allocate resources efficiently to meet project demands.
• Release Management: Manage the planning, coordination, and deployment of project releases.
• Tech & Business Stakeholders Management: Ensure open and steady dialogue with technical groups as well as business stakeholders to guarantee agreement and clear understanding. Promote a positive and cooperative method in accomplishing tasks.
• Standards Development Lifecycle: Oversee the development and implementation of standards within the project, ensuring adherence to established processes and SDLC methodology.
• QA: Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards through rigorous quality assurance processes.

Should have’s:

• Orchestrate the activities of colleagues and external stakeholders, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
• Facilitate alignment with third-party systems and ensure interoperability with industry standards.
• Possess a strong understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, interfaces, CI/CD pipelines, and security, enabling you to make informed decisions and bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
• Ensure all project documentation and artifacts are accurately maintained and aligned with project requirements.

• Apply knowledge of data structures to support project goals.
• Represent the organization in public forums, industry events, and conferences to share insights and project successes.
• Leverage industry knowledge to inform strategy, decision-making, and project execution.
• Develop and refine use cases to ensure project outcomes meet business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree with relevant experience, master’s degree in a related field is preferred but not essential.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management or delivery positions, with a background in management or operations consulting being an advantage.
• Proven track record of managing projects with multiple and international stakeholders, including both technical and business teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and simple messages in the appropriate way.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to drive alignment and collaboration across diverse teams.
• Container Shipping industry knowledge is an advantage, particularly within logistics or similar fields. Passion for complex system landscapes and the ability to leverage this passion in driving successful project outcomes.
