As a Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and modernizing applications on Microsoft Azure, with a particular focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure DevOps. You will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, containerized applications and driving the modernization of cloud-based solutions. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and deploy applications on AKS: Design, build, and deploy containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance. 
• Modernize legacy applications: Lead efforts to modernize existing applications by migrating them to microservices or serverless architectures and containerized environments. 
• Cloud-native application development: Develop cloud-native applications using modern tools and frameworks, optimizing for Azure services and best practices. 
• Manage CI/CD pipelines: Implement and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless deployment and management of applications in AKS, leveraging Azure DevOps. 
• Optimize application performance: Monitor and optimize applications running in AKS to ensure high availability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization. 
• Collaborate with DevOps and cross-functional teams: Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure efficient application deployment, scaling, and monitoring. 
• Implement best practices: Develop and enforce best practices for containerized application development, AKS management, and application lifecycle management in a cloud environment. 

You’re good at: 

• Kubernetes (AKS) and containerization: Expertise in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes. 
• Application modernization: Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating them to microservices-based architectures leveraging modem identity platforms. 
• CI/CD automation: Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitOps, etc. to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. 
• Cloud-native development: Experience in supporting deployment of cloud-native applications using languages and frameworks such as Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, Angular. 
• Monitoring and optimization: Experience using tools like Azure Monitor, ELK, Prometheus or Grafana to monitor applications in AKS, diagnose performance issues, and optimize performance. 
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience in deploying cloud infrastructure using tools such as Bicep,YAML or ARM templates. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Hands-on experience with Azure resources especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure serverless solutions. 
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and application modernization strategies. 
• Proven track record in automating CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications. 
• Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). 
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep and YAML.  
• Team player and ability to guide team members. 

This role is ideal for a cloud developer passionate about AKS, cloud-native application development, and the modernization of legacy applications to cloud-based microservices architectures. Azure certifications are a plus.
