🚀 About the Role

As a Senior Application Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming our application landscape. Your technical expertise will help us design, build, and continuously improve reliable, high-quality solutions within our global application ecosystem.

You’ll join forces with talented colleagues in our agile, cross-functional DevOps teams—working hand-in-hand with Product Owners, Analysts, and engineers to create impactful applications that power businesses worldwide.

• Champion continuous improvement—automating processes, enhancing assets, and driving team performance.
• Guarantee our applications meet the highest standards for quality, security, and architecture.
• Host engaging knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate technical skills across teams and partners.
• Dive deep into impact analyses and reverse engineering when needed.
• Keep our systems aligned with the broader Atradius architecture and ensure consistency throughout.
• Share insights and recommendations for process and asset enhancements.
• Continuously grow your expertise and stay ahead of the curve in new tech and tools.
• Provide transparent progress updates to leadership, highlighting risks and challenges.

🌟 What You Bring to the Team

✅ 6+ years of experience as a Senior Developer, Application Engineer, or Solution Architect.

✅ Hands-on skills in Java 11+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/JDBC, Git, Maven, and RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).

✅ Proven experience in unit and integration testing and test automation.

✅ Solid knowledge of software design patterns, plus hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes (K8S or OpenShift).

✅ Experience with Azure and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

✅ Familiar with monitoring tools (Elastic-ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).

✅ Comfortable working in Scrum and CI/CD environments.

✅ Knowledge of messaging platforms (Kafka, EMS, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ).

✅ Skilled at moderating and leading technical and non-technical sessions.

✅ Availability for on-call rotations and occasional travel to different offices.

✅ EU or UK work authorization.

✅ High proficiency in English (Spanish or other languages are a plus!).
