The Opportunity: Application Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Application Engineer with a strong background in Cloud technologies (preferably Azure) to join our DevOps-driven Asset Teams. You’ll design, develop, and enhance applications that are integral to Atradius’ success, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, innovative solutions that meet our global business needs.

What You’ll Do

✅ Design and Build: Create, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable technical solutions.

✅ Cloud Expertise: Leverage your Cloud (Azure) knowledge to improve system performance and scalability.

✅ Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to optimize assets and processes across the development lifecycle.

✅ Problem Solving: Conduct impact analysis, reverse engineering, and ensure seamless system integration within Atradius’ architecture.

✅ Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Analysts, and Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

✅ Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate technical sessions to elevate the expertise of your team.

What You Bring to the Table

🎯 Experience:

• 5+ years as an Application Engineer, with a strong focus on Cloud technologies (Azure is a big plus!).

🎯 Technical Skills:

• Backend: Java (17+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/JDBC.
• Cloud: Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure DevOps.
• DevOps & Tools: CI/CD, GitHub, Maven, Docker, RDBMS (Oracle/MS SQL), Elastic-Logstash-Kibana, Grafana.
• Testing: Unit, integration testing, and automation.
• Other Expertise: REST API standards, messaging platforms (Kafka), Cloud networking, and security concepts (managed identities, private endpoints).

🎯 Soft Skills:

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

Nice-to-Have

🌟 Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware, PL/SQL, UML, and tools like Confluence, Jira, or Apiary.

🌟 Familiarity with analysis documentation methodologies like ERD and UML.
